abstract:
“solo with only pen and paper” and
“solo with pen and paper and camera” are movement and text
performances that deal with the concept of loneliness trough a fresh and
humoristic point of view, understanding the seduction of the audience
as the only way to escape from it.
“solo with pen and paper”:
I look at two people of the audience during one minute and the experience
I have when I look at them, I write it down on a paper. In between looking
and writing, I’m playing with metaphors in words and movement around
the issue of solitude. At the end I invite the two people I had looked
at during one minute to come onstage and stand there while I read the
texts I wrote about them.
“solo with pen and paper and camera”:
Two people of the audience are recorded separately during one minute,
and the experience I have when I record them, I write it down on a paper.
In between recording and writing, I’m playing with metaphors in
words and movement around the issue of solitude till I end up projecting
a video that I’ve recorded before the audience comes in, to do a
duet with myself,. At the end of the performance I project the videos
of the two people I recorded and I read what I wrote about them.
